Team Psychological Safety™ (TPS) is a certified diagnostic tool created by Peter Cauwelier, Master Action Learning Coach at WIAL, based on the concept of team psychological safety developed by Amy Edmondson.
Thanks to the TPS Practitioner certification, obtained from WIAL, we are authorized to conduct team diagnostics using this tool and support leaders and teams in creating environments that foster openness, collaboration, and engagement.
Does your team feel safe to speak up, ask questions, disagree and be themselves?
Psychological safety is not a “soft” issue. It is the hard foundation of a modern, effective team — one where people think, ask, learn from each other, and are not afraid to make mistakes.
Why does it matter?
Research shows that where there is a high level of psychological safety in a team:
♦ creativity and courage in action increase (A. Carmeli),
♦ team learning and knowledge sharing grow (C.E. Johnson),
♦ innovation and tangible results emerge (M. Andersson).
Why Measure Psychological Safety?
Measuring psychological safety is more than just collecting data, it’s a gateway to meaningful change. When you assess psychological safety, you:
✅ Uncover issues that may be affecting team collaboration and atmosphere
✅ Educate your team about what psychological safety actually means in an accessible and engaging way
✅ Create a safe space to talk openly about the topic
✅ Reinforce the behaviors that build a psychologically safe environment such as honest communication, openness, active listening, and shared accountability.
A Few Minutes, A Lot of Insight
Completing the survey takes just a few minutes, but the results can give you:
✅ A clear picture of how safe people feel to speak up, ask questions, or take risks in your team
✅ A starting point for real conversations and development
✅ The knowledge you need to build an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and engagement.
Who can benefit?
